GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS – Domaine du Chateau de la Mothaye – en – Gites Le Verger du domaine de Chateau de la Mothaye

1. GENERAL

Upon receipt of your reservation, we will send you a confirmation by email and request a deposit of 25% to be paid within one week, with a minimum of one night per room per stay, including the security deposit.
Your reservation becomes definitive once the deposit has been received.

The remaining balance must be paid at least 8 weeks prior to arrival.

The debit of the (deposit) amount from your bank account constitutes confirmation of payment.
By paying the deposit, you confirm your agreement with the terms and conditions stated below and a binding agreement is concluded between the tenant (the guest) and the landlord (Château La Mothaye).

If the deposit is not received within one week, Château La Mothaye reserves the right to release the accommodation for rebooking.

Payments can only be made by bank transfer or in cash. Payment by credit card or debit card (PIN) is not possible, including on site at Château La Mothaye.
Payment via PayPal may be possible, subject to a surcharge of 5% (PayPal fees).
Any bank or transfer charges (for example for payments made from outside the EU) are always entirely at the expense of the guest/tenant.

2. CHANGES AND CANCELLATION

Changes to a reservation can only be accepted with prior consultation and written approval from Château La Mothaye and may incur additional charges.

In the event of cancellation, the following charges apply:

cancellation up to 8 weeks before arrival: the deposit will be retained by Château La Mothaye;
cancellation from 8 weeks or less before the start of the rental period: the full accommodation and/or package price will be charged;
early departure after the start of the reserved stay: the full accommodation and/or package price will be charged, with no refund.

Any (partial) refund, if applicable, will be made after deduction of any bank/payment fees (if applicable) and an administration fee of €25.

3. ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE

The accommodation is available to the guest from 4:00 pm on the day of arrival. Arrival is between 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm.
On the day of departure, the accommodation must be vacated no later than 10:00 am.

4. INSURANCE

Guests are responsible for arranging their own cancellation insurance, medical insurance and travel insurance.

5. LIABILITY

Château La Mothaye accepts no liability for damage to, theft or loss of guests’ personal belongings, nor for any injury or accident suffered by guests, regardless of the cause.

Use of the swimming pool and playground equipment is entirely at the guests’ own risk. The swimming pool is unsupervised. Children may only use the swimming pool under parental supervision.
Access to and presence on the estate is entirely at the guests’ own risk.

Any damage caused by guests to buildings, fixtures or fittings will be charged to the guests.

6. YOUR STAY – PETS – NON-SMOKING / VAPING

Guests are requested to comply with the house rules and to respect the property of Château La Mothaye and other guests, as well as the peace and privacy of others.

Smoking or vaping inside the buildings is strictly prohibited.
Pets are allowed on a limited basis, subject to prior approval by the owner and, in principle, only in the gîtes / holiday homes.

7. FORCE MAJEURE

If Château La Mothaye is required to cancel a reservation due to force majeure, any amounts paid (deposit and/or balance) will be refunded.
Château La Mothaye accepts no liability for any additional damage suffered by the guest, and no further compensation of any kind may be claimed.

8. SECURITY DEPOSIT

A security deposit of €150 per reservation per accommodation is required.
This deposit will be refunded within one week after departure, provided no damage has occurred and the accommodation has been left in accordance with the instructions (clean oven, empty refrigerator, empty dishwasher, etc.).

9. PERSONAL DATA

We store personal data only insofar as required by law and for the administrative processing of your booking, as well as for occasional informational mailings.
Personal data will not be shared with third parties.

10. ENJOY YOUR STAY
