A 200 year old castle domain naturally requires some maintenance, and especially renovations. We have been busy with this from the beginning. Both inside and outside.

A new roof on the old chapel, new sanitary facilities, the ‘reclamation’ of the original park, maintenance of the fields and forests, and of course the two beautiful gites that we have made in the old caretaker’s house. These were and still are enormous jobs.

Most renovations have been carried out on the chateau. The largest is the renovation of the facade; for the first time in 200 years. All dormers have been renewed, the Tuffeau restored, and a new ‘enduit’ layer. We carried out this renovation in the winter, from October to February. For no less than 7 years, a part of the facade was renovated for 4 months at a time. A huge job, but now a beautiful chateau.
